POLOKWANE – The accident occurred late on Saturday night, 1 July, when two motor vehicles, a SUV and a sedan, collided with each other.
Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the sedan caught alight and burnt to ashes, killing two people while the SUV was damaged beyond compare, seriously injuring two passengers.
“They were taken to hospital for medical treatment,” he said.
Ngoepe says the identities, race and gender of the deceased will be determined through the DNA tests.
“The cause of this accident is still unknown, however, police investigations will continue to determine its cause,” Ngoepe concluded.
