[WATCH] Mbali grows positively in stature

Mbali Mahlale was born without arms in 2007 and her mother is asking for help to raise funds for artificial arms.

POLOKWANE – From the little Limpopo town Giyani, medical support for Mahlale’s daughter was not adequate enough to raise her there.

For now, Mbali is still growing at a rapid rate, but she will need artificial limbs by the time she is about to finish high school. The school plans to set up a trust for her to raise money so that she can acquire artificial limbs.

With the help of the community, this can become a reality for Mbali to one day also have arms and hands to do what other able body persons can do.

Mbaili’s mom also mentioned that they are looking for a permanent residence. Mahlale and her daughter is grateful for Meps providing them accommodation in the school’s hostel. Mahlale says however when the school closes, she and her daughter then stays at her mom’s house in Giyani until the school re-opens. She says it will be better if she can manage to find a permanent home in Polokwane for her and her daughter.
