FCHS learners shown the ropes at Saskia Restaurant

Consumer Stream learners from Flora Park Comprehensive High School (FCHS) visited Saskia Restaurant at the Fusion Boutique Hotel, recently.

POLOKWANE – The learners were treated to a three-course meal prepared by Chef T.G who described the cooking process and ingredients used in creating these mouth-watering dishes.

Their teacher, Maputhi Langa, said the aim of the trip was to offer a first-hand experience of professions in the hotel and tourism industry to motivate the learners and show them how their hard work and determination can pay off.

The chicken done three ways and molten malva pudding was a hit among the learners.

The learners showed interest in every aspect of the trip, from the logistics of hotel management to running the restaurant. They asked relevant questions and were pleased with the answers they received.

Fusion Boutique, on a mission to improve the hospitality industry education in the country, are now offering short courses for students who would like to further their education within the hospitality industry through the Fusion Hospitality Institute.
