Water shortages in Ivy Park, Nirvana under investigation – Muni

Water tankers have been dispatched to the affected areas

POLOKWANE – “Some parts of Ivy Park and Nirvana are still without water as a result of pumps not being able to push water. Our team is currently investigating the cause of water shortage in the affected areas,” says Disree Manyane, the Spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality.

“Water tankers have been dispatched to the residents as a remedial action.”

Water shortage in the Molepo and surrounding areas

Parts of Molepo are also experiencing water shortages due to a stolen transformer says Manyane.

“A municipal contractor is currently working to fix the borehole that supplies water to the affected areas.”

The areas affected include Mankgaile, Mokgohloa 2, Mountainveiw and Boyne.

The municipality is working around the clock to ensure that water is restored to all areas as soon as possible. Residents in the affected areas are advised to report any issues to the municipality at 015 290 2376.
