Olifantspoort Plant out of operation, warns muni

Polokwane Municipality appeals to residents to use water sparingly until the water shortage situation is restored back to normal

POLOKWANE – Polokwane Municpality hereby notifies the public of a possible water shortage in parts of the city.

According to a notification received from Lepelle Northern Water the Olifantspoort Plant will be shut down to allow for repairs on a burst pipe along the Specon pipeline.

The estimated time for repairs will be more than 4 hours and all areas supplied by the plant will be affected.

“The public is requested to continue using water sparingly until the situation is restored back to normal.”
