Three seriously injured in Limpopo cash-in-transit robbery

The Police in Modjadjiskloof outside Tzaneen have launched a massive manhunt for a group of armed suspects who allegedly bombed and robbed a cash-in-transit vehicle on Thursday evening.

LIMPOPO – The incident took place at around 19:00 along the Leeudraai road between Ga-Kgapane and  Modjadjiskloof in the Modjadjiskloof Policing area.

“It is alleged that vehicle was attacked and bombed an undisclosed amount of money was stolen,” says police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

During the incident the driver of the cash-in-transit vehicle as well as two other employees sustained serious injuries and were taken the hospital for medical treatment, he adds.

“The unknown suspect’s were traveling in a white BMW and a Toyota Fortuner with unknown registration numbers. No arrests have been made thus far and police investigations continue,” concludes Ngoepe.
