LIMPOPO – According to Matsemela this will be a continuous programme with the Department of Social Development (DSD). “Working with the DSD will ensure that learners are provided with a conducive schooling environment.”
Matsemela said that they will identify more schools that will receive uniforms in all four clusters of the municipality.
“Nelson Mandela said education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. This should remind us that it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that every child is afforded an opportunity to study in a dignified manner so that these learners may be inspired to become better citizens that will strive to change the world.”
Education is essential to every child’s development and there is nothing more important than the education of our children. Provision of quality education to our children in a safe and conducive environment is one of the mandates of the government, said Matsemela.
She emphasised that education is essential to a child’s development and every child deserves the best start in life.
