WATCH] Cappies learners say yes to saving lives

Capricorn High School has taken the initiative to teach learners basic first aid skills to ensure they know what to do in case of an emergency.

POLOKWANE – No matter how careful we are, accidents happen and sometimes, the consequences are dire.

If children are involved in an accident at school, it could be minor or they might have to miss several days while recovering from a serious injury. To avoid this, Capricorn High School has taken the initiative to teach learners basic first aid skills to ensure they know what to do in case of an emergency. They want to ensure injuries are attended to speedily and by the correct measures.

The Capricorn High School first aid team includes Grade 9 learners Seerane Tshepiso, Ntsoane Tumelo, Sodi Sagale and Lerato Nong.

They underwent training and now possess basic CPR skills and may perform level one and two first aid treatment.
