Bus fire still under investigation – GNT management

The mystery on what caused a Great North bus to set a light on Monday continues.

POLOKWANE – Patric Mokoe, Communication and Marketing Manager of Great North Transport, said the bus was taken to the depot shortly after the incident where technicians assessed the bus for the possible cause of the fire.

“It was discovered that all the wiring was still intact, so the possibility of the fire being due to wire related issues was ruled out,” Mokoe explained.

He added that more assessments will be done to determine the exact cause of the fire.
