The suspect set the house alight after finding his girlfriend in bed with another man
LIMPOPO – The suspect was arrested in Thokgoaneng village in Ga-Chuene and will face for two counts of attempted murder as well as a count of arson.
Police Spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspect arrived home from work at about 05:00 on Tuesday (30 May) morning when he found his 31-year-old girlfriend sleeping with another man in the house and set the whole house alight.
“The two victims escaped the attack with serious burn wounds and they are currently in hospital receiving medical treatment,” Ngoepe explains.
The suspect will appear before Thabamoopo Magistrate Court soon as police investigations continue.
“Limpopo SAPS would like to appeal to all communities to refrain from resorting to violent conduct whenever they are experiencing domestic related problems, but rather report cases to the local authorities for amicable intervention,” Ngoepe concluded.
