Learners get up close and personal with reptiles

Botlokwa Secondary School learners recently paid a visit to the Peter Mokaba Stadium the Polokwane Bird and Reptile Park in the city.

POLOKWANE – Accompanied by their teachers, the learners were taken on a guided tour and learned all about the different types of snakes and crocodiles at the park as well as the dangers these reptiles pose.

One of the learners, Lethabo Sekgotha, was not phased and volunteered to have a snake placed on her shoulders. This impressed all her friends and classmates.

Peter Mokaba Stadium demonstrator Phillip Maeta allowed the learners to walk around the pitch and informed them of the different events held at the stadium and of the sports teams that have played on the field.

Each learner received a token, and award of appreciation and attendance before they embarked on their journey home.
