A ‘Mengouchi’ to make her dream come true

Megan Wepener from Hoƫrskool Pietersburg is the first of three girls who will receive a ready-made dress from Mengouchi Haute Couture

POLOKWANE – The matric farewell season is upon us and everywhere Gr 12 girls are getting ready for their big night.

Mrs. Polokwane 2017, Irene Schempers in cooperation with well-known fashion designer, Erika Mengouchi, decided to help three girls have the night of their dreams.

“The girls will each receive a ready-made dress from Mengouchi Haute Couture as well as a sponsor for her hair, nails, and photography,” Schempers explained.

The first girl to receive this privilege is Megan Wepener from HoĆ«rskool Pietersburg who was absolutely overwhelmed by the ‘dress of her dreams’ exactly as she always wanted.

“My friend’s mother sponsored me for the fittings and when I first put on the dress, I immediately knew it was my dream come true. I like the fine, elegant, and at the same time unique, things in life. From Gr 8 I pictured this specific dress for my matric farewell.”

She said she has always dreamed of becoming a model and modelling her own matric farewell dress will give her butterflies in her stomach.

Apart from the dress, Megan also won a voucher to get her nails and makeup done by House of Finesse Beauty Salon as well as a photo shoot by Natalie Loots Photography.

“We want to make other girls’ dreams come true. Even if they only need their hair done, but cannot afford it, we want to help realise their dreams” Mengouchi said.
