ANC regional conferences commence

The Sekhukhune region of the ANC is to hold their regional conference to start preparations for the upcoming national elective conference in December over the weekend.

LIMPOPO – An investigation and upcoming audit of 21 branches have resulted in the conference in Mopani to be postponed.

The ANC in the province announced their plans on Tuesday following a provincial working committee (PWC) meeting.

“We are satisfied that the organisational and logistical processes are in place for the Sekhukhune region to host its regional conference from Friday, 26th to Sunday, 28th May 2017,” the party said in a statement.

The Vhembe region will host their conference from 2 to 4 June.

As a result of the outstanding investigation and audit of the 21 branches in the Greater Giyani sub-region of Mopani the PWC resolved to await the outcomes before deciding on the possible dates of the Mopani region’s

conference.
