POLOKWANE – This event is set to take place from Monday, 5 June until Sunday, 11 June. The annual World of Wheels Expo at Mall of the North has become an annual high light for many a car enthusiast.
The Limpopo Classic Car Club is organising this event and Review spoke to the club’s secretary, Zellie Rudd, to hear from her how organising is going so far.
“We had a tremendous event last year, thanks to the support from local dealerships as well as car owners from our club. We had about 280 classic and vintage vehicles last year on display, and we aim to make it even more this year.”
Rudd says aside from the cars of Limpopo Classic Car Club, can old car fanatics also look forward to seeing cars of yesteryear from clubs from Tzaneen, Louis Trichardt and even as far as from Pretoria. She says Polokwane’s other car club, the Bosveld Auto Club, also supported the World of Wheels Expo last year. She says their neighbour car club will certainly among the mix again this year.
According to Rudd will the classic and vintage cars only be on exhibition on Saturday, 10 June. She says during the week prior to the weekend will new cars from various dealerships be on display inside and at the various entrances of the Mall of the North.
