Manhunt launched for robbery suspects who shot three tavern patrons, killing one

The suspects face charges of murder, business robbery and two counts of attempted murder, says the police

LIMPOPO – The Police in Masisi outside Thohoyandou have launched a massive manhunt for three armed suspects allegedly responsible for the murder of a patron at a tavern in Mutale yesterday evening (Saturday).

According to a statement issued by Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, it is alleged three armed suspects entered the said tavern and ordered everybody to lie down. Three patrons were shot during the process and a 51-year-old man died on the scene, said Ngoepe.

“The other two patrons, aged 27 and 39-years-old, sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital where they are still recuperating.”

The deceased as well as the two injured victims are all from Mutale, added Ngoepe.

During this incident an undisclosed amount of money was robbed, however the suspects are still unknown and there has been no arrest.
