Murder accused Paul Carr found not guilty

Paul Carr, who was the accused in the Justin de Freitas murder trial, was found not guilty in the Seshego Regional Court earlier today (Friday).

POLOKWANE – De Freitas was killed in a fight at a local bar just outside the city on 4 July 2015. It was alleged that Carr and the deceased got into an argument during which Carr stabbed De Freitas with a knife.

Andries Rheeder, Carr’s legal representative said the state did not have sufficient evidence to convict his client.
