Task team established to help Uni Lim students

This follows unrest by the students after several students have been robbed at off campus residence.

LIMPOPO – Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo says the task team was established in an effort to confront criminals hellbent on terrorizing the students of the University of Limpopo residing outside campus.

Mojapelo explained that there were several house robberies which took place over the weekend around Mankweng in which seven students residing off campus fell victim.

The following were taken over the weekend:
• Four laptops
• Seven cellphones
• R500 cash

Earlier this year, two suspects were nabbed during an operation in Mankweng and firearms as well as stolen properties recovered.
