Lion attack: Prinsloo family prays for a miracle

The young boy who was recently attacked by a lion is still in hospital where his condition remains unchanged.

LIMPOPO – Herman and Adri Prinsloo’s only child, Kristian Prinsloo (11) is fighting for his life in the Muelmed Hospital in Pretoria after he was attacked by a lion in the home of Cor and Alet Vos on 8 April. The tame lion is one of three the Vos couple keep in their home.

A family member told Bosveld the doctors have done all they can but that Kristian is now on life support.

“Kristian’s father does not want to turn off the machines and the family still have hope and are praying for a miracle,” they said.

The family has created a support group on Facebook, Kristian Prinsloo publieke groep, where family and friends can leave messages of support and prayers. On Monday, Kristian’s father posted a message that reads: “We’ve come to the point where everything humanly possible to save his life has been done, now only grace, strength and healing from God can help him.

“Firstly, I want to thank our heavenly father for all the strength, grace, love, peace and happiness He has blessed us with and that He has given us an ‘internet family’ that has shown us so much support through their well-wishes and prayers. Thank you for every prayer, message and thought.”
