Moosa family shocked after case was withdrawn
The case was provisionally withdrawn in the Mankweng Regional Court yesterday.
POLOKWANE – The family of Anisah Moosa have instructed their attorney, Raeesa Rhemtula to write a letter to the Ministers of Police and Justice as well as the National Director of Public Prosecutions to ensure the kidnapping case is re-installed, following the withdrawal.
Anisah was kidnapped outside her uncle’s home in Nirvana in March and was held hostage while the kidnappers demanded ransom from her family.
A rescue operation led to her safe return.

The three suspects in the case, Samuel Kubo (29), Elias Masilo Gafane (34) and Nyambeni Benny Mudau (35) were arrested shortly after the kidnapping and face charges of hijacking and the attempted murder of three police officers, who were shot during the rescue operation.
The three suspects also made use of their time on bail to go on what provincial Hawks Spokesperson, Captain Matimba Maluleke says was a crime-committing spree.
A warrant of arrest was subsequently issued against two of the three suspects, Kubo and Gafane, who failed to appear in court, with that incident not being the first time that the two had been arrested, following the kidnapping.

The family have expressed their disappointment in the withdrawal, saying they feel as though the justice system is letting victims down.
Family spokesperson, Yusuf Abramjee said the family are shocked at the withdrawal of the case.
“The police had many months to do their investigations and we can’t understand why it is being delayed repeatedly. We want a full probe,” Abramjee said.
