[WATCH] DA marches against State Capture in Polokwane

The march is being led by DA leader Mmusi Maimane and Provincial Leader, Jacques Smalle.

Mmusi Maimane addressed the crowd outside Treasury in Hans van Rensburg street and first acknowledged the crowd before him.

Mmaimane then told the crowd that they would carry on marching against Zuma, saying they would march until he resigns and called on all South Africans to join.

POLOKWANE – Democratic Alliance Leader, Mmusi Maimane on Tuesday, 18 April, led hundreds of supporters through the streets of Polokwane in a march against state capture to the Limpopo Provincial Treasury.

Scores of DA Members gathered at SABC Park in Landdros Marè street on Tuesday morning, painting the city blue with their t-shirts and placards.

Maimane says there is no better case study than Limpopo which he says has been corrupted to the point of near bankruptcy and is economically stagnant.

“Jacob Zuma and the ANC have normalised the abuse of the people’s money and institutions for self- benefit, while neglecting their duty to create jobs and build a better South Africa,” he said.

The march began at SABC Park and moved down Excelsior Street into Hans van Rensburg and would eventually end up in front of the Provincial Treasury offices.

DA Provincial Leader, Jacques Smalle said the march forms part of the DA’s programme of action to ensure that South Africa is set on the right path.

“Limpopo Province has been the worst performing province in South Africa for the last three years running and remains in financial ruin. Service delivery remains poor due to the culture of impunity in the ANC Limpopo,” he concluded.
