DA to lead #MarchForChange in Polokwane

The anti-Zuma march in Polokwane will be joined by opposition parties, including the EFF, UDM, and Cope.

POLOKWANE – DA Leader Mmusi Maimane will lead a march against state capture  alongside the EFF, UDM and Cope  to the Limpopo Provincial Treasury today Tuesday, 18 April.

The #MarchForChange will be held to call President Jacob Zuma and his cronies to step down with immediate effect, said the DA said in a media briefing..

The march forms part of the DA’s programme of action to ensure that South Africa is set on the right path; where the economy is able to recover and start growing soon after, where jobs are created for the unemployed and where the Constitution is once again respected.

They will further be calling for Premier Stan Mathabatha to be recalled, along with his entire executive, for failing to better the lives of Limpopo residents as promised.

They will be marching and submitting a Memorandum of Demands to the Provincial Treasury against state capture by the Guptas and our struggling economy that has now plunged into “junk” status, making life even harder for the poorest of the poor.

Limpopo Province has been the worst performing province in South Africa for the last three years running and remains in financial ruin. Service delivery remains poor due to the culture of impunity in the ANC Limpopo.

The march is aimed at sending a clear message to Jacob Zuma’s government to step down and bring a new government that will put the country and people first.

The march will take place on Tuesday, 18 April from 10:00, starting at Limpopo SABC Park Polokwane (Cnr Landros Mare and Excelsior Street).
