Polokwane’s consumers are spoiled for choice following the opening of a brand new Checkers, with several speciality departments, in Savannah Mall last Thursday.
Fantastic opening specials ensured an enthusiastic crowd gathered at the store for the official cutting of the ribbon before shoppers poured into the new-look, modern Checkers to see exactly what is on offer.
Branch Manager Werner Kriel welcomed customers to the store and said his team is committed to ensuring an excellent shopping experience for every person who walks through the doors.
Sufura Sheriff, Public Relations Manager for Checkers in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo, showed invited guests around, highlighting the notable elements in store and explaining how these departments would benefit the customer. She also handed over R5 000 shopping vouchers to Ngwana House, a place of safety for children younger than three, as part of the the store’s community upliftment promise.
Checkers Savannah Mall boasts a considerable deli that serves breakfast until 11:00 every day, has a Chef’s Corner where roasts and speciality dishes are on offer, salads, sandwiches and much more.
Together with Checkers’ famous Cheese World – where the customer can buy a host of cheeses from all over the world – and impressive bakery, Checkers Savannah Mall also has a wide selection of convenience meals, including Gordon Ramsay’s Oh My Goodness! children’s meals that are nutritionally balanced and contains no junk food.
The Fish Shop offers a selection of fresh fish as well as sushi at competitive prices. At the same time the butchery provides choice cuts at great prices. The butchery also stocks the Nataniël range of meat dishes and well trained butchers are always on hand to help customers find the perfect cut.
A range of services are available at the in-store Money Market counter including payment of municipal or service account payments, buying national lottery, bus, airline tickets or Computicket event tickets, and much more.
One of the biggest selling points at Checkers Savannah Mall, is the foreign ground single source Coffee Bar. What better way to round off a shopping experience like no other than with a cup of coffee like no other.

Checkers Savannah Mall trades from 09:00 to 19:00 on weekdays, 08:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays and 09:00 to 17:00 on Sundays.
