HIGH ALERT: Avoid these areas – Transport Dept

After rumours surfaced regarding planned protests tomorrow, Review verified with relevant authorities.

POLOKWANE – “As far as we know, there are no marches planned for Polokwane tomorrow,” says Acting Polokwane Cluster commander, Brigadier Dikeledi Mangena.

This follows reports of more #AntiZumaMarches which are expected in the city tomorrow as part of national action.

Mangena added that there would be police presence in the city and should anything happen, the police will intervene.

Last week Friday, Seshego and other parts of the city were rocked by protests which led to damage to property and business looting.

Spokeperson for the Department of Transport, Joshua Kwapa has warned residents to avoid certain areas in the city including:

“We have no idea what will happen tomorrow but we are expecting marches again. We will keep residents updated regularly as events unfold,” said Kwapa.
