Deeds office opens in Polokwane

Residents will no longer have to travel long distances to have their properties registered, because Polokwane now has its own Deeds Office.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Deeds Office opened today, 3 April, in Dorp Street at the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform.

William Ngququ, register officer confirmed that lodgement for transactions relating to properties falling within Limpopo will be accepted in Polokwane from now on.

“Limpopo transactions lodged in the Pretoria Deeds Registry after today will be rejected and owners will need to register it again in Limpopo,” he clarifies.

With the office now open in Polokwane, residents will save on travelling costs as they do not need attorneys in Pretoria to assist with the approval of the deeds. They will also not have to make use of a double attorney services as in the past.
