Tzaneen woman shot in face during robbery
An unknown number of armed suspects entered the house at around 01:00 this morning, says the police
LIMPOPO – The Police in Tzaneen are searching for suspect(s) who attacked and robbed woman and her two children on a small holding outside Tzaneen in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
“It is alleged that an unknown number of armed suspects entered the house at Lushoff plot at around 01:00 where the victims were sleeping,” said Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
During the attack the woman was shot in the face and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. “The children were unharmed,” he added.
A 9mm pistol was also taken during the robbery, he confirmed.
“A case of house robbery has been opened and further items which were taken during the incident will be confirmed at a later stage, as crime investigations are still continuing,” he said.
