Residents warned of possible water shortages due to pipeline repairs at Olifantspoort Plant

The shut-off will negatively affect water supply to all areas within the city

POLOKWANE – Residents are advised to use water sparingly following a notification received by the Polokwane Municipality from Lepelle Northern Water that the Olifantspoort Plant had to stopped pumping water due to damage on Specon pipeline.

According to the notification repairs to the line will take up to six hours and this will negatively affect water supply to all areas within the city.

The public are urged to use water sparingly during this time to avoid possible water shortages.

Residents are also encouraged to report any water related issues to the municipality by calling 015 290 2376 during working hours or 015 290 2000 after hours.
