MOKOPANE – Murder accused, Maluleka Thabang Zondo (22), from Mootong a village outside Polokwane was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Mokopane Regional Court on Friday.
Zondo entered a clothing shop in the Crossing Mall Mokopane on the 18 August 2016 with the intention to rob the store. During the incident Zondo did not manage to steal anything but stabbed the shop assistant with a knife. The victim was rushed to Voortrekker Hospital where he later died.
The Station Commander of Mokopane SAPS Colonel Mantjane applauded the investigating officer Detective Constable Johannes Sepalo Makgamatha for making sure the perpetrator successfully bought to justice and encouraged all the detectives to follow his example.
