Woman arrested after foetus was found outside Polokwane

Westenburg Police Spokesperson, Const Maphure Manamela says the woman was arrested in connection with the crime.

POLOKWANE- A foetus was found near Extension 40 on Wednesday by residents in the community.

The foetus was found in a bucket full of blood with its umbilical cord still attached.

Manamela confirmed that a woman had been arrested and said she had been charged with concealment of birth.

Manamela said the woman would appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court soon.
