Shootout at abandoned Makhado house leads to four suspects arrested

Police in Makhado reacted to a tip-off from the community about armed suspects in an abandoned house.

LIMPOPO – A shoot out ensued on arrival between the police and the suspects.

Police spokesperson LT Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says the police managed to arrest all four of the suspects no injuries or fatalities occurred.

Ngoepe says the following items were confiscated :
– Two (02) revolver firearms

– 100×9mm short gun ammunition

– 24×9mm ammunition

– 1×762 firearm

– 51mm ammunition

– house breaking implements

– suspected stolen properties.

Ngoepe further added that some of the recovered items will assist the police in solving other burglary cases in the Makhado policing area and surrounding areas.

“The suspects will appear before Louis Trichadt Magistrate Court soon. Police investigations are still continuing,” he concluded.
