Pastor preaches from the pulpit and bookshelves

This young pastor has penned the answers to the many questions young couples ask him

POLOKWANE – Pastor Legodi is a man who was handed many talents and is putting them all to good use.

Frans Neo Legodi (35), originally from Seshego, now residing in Polokwane with his wife, Mapula, and son, Shiloh, is a pastor who has recently ventured into the world of writing.

He is a pastor at the Many Membered Son (MMS), a born-again Christian focused on teaching and training believers in their gifts and callings.

“My book, Who Wears The Pants? was inspired by the number of young couples I counsel almost daily. I realised as a population, we are sitting on a time bomb. Marriage and stable family remain the last frontier for stable and moral societies. If the institution of marriage is destroyed and families are broken, we run a risk of increased teenage pregnancies, alcohol and substance abuse, a depressed society, young people been lured into a life of crime, high academic dropouts and many other social ills which destroy communities,” he said. Neo said during his research for the book he realised the roles in marriage have changed drastically over the past century. These changes in roles has brought much confusion in marriages to the extent that ‘the pants are up for grabs’ which is why he wrote his book to help clarify blurred lines in relationships.

“What I love about Who Wears The Pants? is that it is not a sweet aid book or a fantasy book which is aloof from the present day realities. It is rich with well-researched facts and the depth of insight is nonparallel,” he said.

Neo believes people are tired of fairy tales and powerful sermons which are not practical to their everyday life. He explained Who Wears The Pants? does not just provide stereotypical solutions but offers a diagnosis of different marriage setups and a plethora of amicable solutions the reader can align with.

“To those who are married, the book clarifies misunderstandings and frustrations, while those who are single will get a glimpse into what they will be signing up for when they say ‘I do’,” he advised.

He will launch his book on Saturday, 1 April at Fusion Boutique Hotel in Polokwane at 13:00. Entry fee to the launch is R200 which includes a copy of the book. The book will also available at R200 per copy and can be obtained by contacting the author on his Facebook page at Neo Legodi, Twitter at Neo Legodi1, and Instagram at whowearsthepantsneo.
