Yolandie and Madelein Potgieter are sisters that have been in the world of drummies from a young age.

Yolandie Potgieter is tasked with preparing learners for the provincial championships

Yolandie, being part of the drum majorette world for about 13 years and Madelein (11 years) want to pass on the skills and knowledge they have gathered in the art of drummies, to some of the learners.

“For first timers or as beginners, the learners are really doing well,” Yolandie said.

Yolandie says the school is going to compete against Pietersburg Comprehensive School as well as Kruger Park Primary in Mokopane on the 22 April.

“Jabez will also be hosting Tom Naude High School between May and June and we will compete against them.” Yolandie said.

Yolandie and Madelein have both won Drummies medals within South Africa and hope their leaners achieve the best in the future.

They both wish the girls all the best for their competitions throughout the year and hope they represent their school well.
