LIMPOPO- The accused raped a 16-year-old girl on 22 March 2015 at Tafelkop (Ga- Matsepe village) outside Groblesdal.
Polokwane Spokesperson Lt Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says on the said date and time, the victim was on her way to visit her elder sister and while they were still talking along the street, they were threatened with a firearm by the accused who dragged the victim away and raped her.
“The victim’s sister ran home to inform the mother and the search for her resumed. On the same day, the victim came back home around 21:00 and she then reported that she was raped by the suspect. The suspect was traced and arrested,” he explained.
