Suspects sentenced to jail for robbery
The robbers were found guilty of taking money, cell phones, firearms and jewellery.
Four suspects, found guilty for robbery, were sentenced to imprisonment on 24 February at the Mookgophong Magistrate Court.
Benton Mnisi, Michael Riba, Terry Motsepe and Fanie Sebanda were arrested on 24 February 2015 for robbing and assaulting the owner and employees at the Mooigelegen farm at Roedtan, on 18 February 2015.
Investigating and warrant officer, Barend van Wyk and members of the Mookgophong police arrested the robbers.
The robbers took money, cell phones, firearms and jewellery.
Most of the stolen property could be retrieved and the men remained in jail until the end of trial.
Mnisi received 17 years imprisonment, Riba received 20 years, Motsepe received 20 years and Sebanda received 15 years imprisonment.
