Share If We Care campaign launch

Charity founder, Jamaima Buys urges the community to get involved in the effort to buy sanitary pads for girls who cannot afford them.

POLOKWANE – The newly established Share IF We Care charity will host their campaign launch on Friday, 3 March 2017 at Westenburg High School.

Charity founder, Jamaima Buys urges the community to get involved in the effort to buy sanitary pads for girls who cannot afford them.

“Can we as a community help and assist girls in our province to be able to go to school whatever day it is. This will give them a lot of confidence as well and not be embarrassed about going to school,” she said.

Jamaima says they are excited about the launch because it will bring awareness of their campaign to their community and it will hopefully grab the attention of businesses that could contribute to the cause. She says they hope to help girls across the province and not just in Polokwane.

“Success can determine the fate of the product, and most businesses host launces to benefit themselves, we are doing this to benefit the community. Our aim is to make donations in different communities every month,” Jamaima continues. She says they will be placing boxes in shopping centres and stores where people can deposit sanitary pads into, which the Share If We Care volunteers will distribute among less fortunate girls.
