Affordable mobile phones at Shoprite Checkers

Shoprite and Checkers supermarkets have expanded their mobile offering by making a range of affordable smart phones and feature phones available at the Money Market counters in two stores in Polokwane and one in Seshego.
The Money Market counters at Checkers Polokwane, corner Grobler and Hans van Rensburg streets, and Shoprite in Schoeman Street in Polokwane as well as Shoprite Seshego in Nelson Mandela Drive, Seshego will offer cellular phones at supermarket prices including a range of STK smartphones and feature phones, according to Shoprite Group spokesperson, Adéle Kruger-Taljaard.
These three stores will also sell the dual sim STK Sync 5z smartphone, including a cover, for only R899. “This phone runs on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and features include a five-inch screen, 8MP and 2MP cameras, 4GB and 512MB memory and 1,3 Ghz Quad Core processor,” Kruger-Taljaard says in a media statement.
Kruger-Taljaard told Polokwane Observer that the mobile offer will be available at 200 Money Market counters across South Africa.
“The Money Market counters in Shoprite and Checkers stores are designed to save customers time by making a range of services available in one convenient stop.”
Other Money Market services include buying cell phone starter packs and completing the RICA registration.
