Drug supplier nabbed in Bela Bela during clean-up operation

The man was found to be the main supplier of nyaope to drug dealers in and around the Bela-Bela and Polokwane areas

LIMPOPO – A 42-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs in Bela Bela over the weekend.

The suspect was found to be the main supplier of nyaope to drug dealers in and around the Bela-Bela and Polokwane areas, says police spokesperson, Lt. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

Ngoepe says the operation was led by the Bela-Bela Crime Intelligence Unit and the Provincial Narcotics Task Team where the following were seized:

“The fight against drugs in the province has being strengthened because we have brought various police units together on an ongoing process to demolish all the flash point areas on drugs,” said Ngoepe.

The suspect will appear before the Bela-Bela Magistate’se Court today (Monday).

“More arrests arrests are still expected and police investigations are continuing,” he said.

 

Members of the community are once more requested and encouraged to expose all drug dealers, including the suspicious houses which are possibly being used to sell drugs, and contact us at 0860010111 or the crime line sms 32211 or the nearest Police Station for twenty four hours.
