3 304 nappies collected for disabled kids

APD Social Worker and Campaign Organiser, Brian Tigere, thanked everyone for their support in assisting the disabled children.

POLOKWANE – The Association for Persons with Disabilities (APD) Limpopo launched a Nappy Run campaign last year to collect nappies for children with disabilities.

Disabled children often need to wear nappies longer than children without disabilities, some often needing to wear nappies throughout their entire lives which is why APD Limpopo embarked on the campaign to help see to these children’s needs.

Assisting them in their campaign, Data Inn Office National and the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100 handed over some of the nappies they collected to APD last Tuesday.

APD Social Worker and Campaign Organiser, Brian Tigere, thanked everyone for their support in assisting the disabled children.

“Altogether 3 340 nappies were collected during last year’s Nappy Run campaign and we are thankful to everyone who reached out to help us in our cause. We plan to launch this year’s Nappy Run on 4 November with a fun run and awareness campaign to inform people of the needs of children living with disabilities. We look forward to another successful campaign and want to thank everyone for their support,” Brian said.
