Pemps’ track stars shine

The learners claimed a treasure trove of medals at the recent Circuit Athletics Meeting.

POLOKWANE – The talented athletes of Pemps Primary School claimed a treasure trove of medals at the recent Polokwane Circuit Athletics Meeting at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Trisin Winter bagged a gold medal in the 100 m for girls u/11 and a silver medal in the 80 m. Tshegofatso Madibana flew high as he secured a gold medal in the boys u/11 high jump while Lesedi Mbunda won bronze in the boys u/11 long jump. Mabunda Amukelani claimed silver in the 100 m for boys u/11 and Tshivandekano Mbuyelo claimed yet another silver for his school in the 800 m for boys u/13.

These outstanding results afforded the athletes the opportunity to compete at the cluster athletics meeting on Friday where Trisin again stole the limelight by finishing first in both the 80 m and 100 m for girls u/11. Lesedi secured a silver medal in the long jump.
