It’s the weekend, according to the kids

Young learners share their secrets on how to tell when it's the weekend.

POLOKWANE – A Friday is probably the most celebrated day of the week, given that it is the start of the weekend. While most adults are thrilled about the weekend beginning, Review asked learners from different schools in the city to find out if they notice when the weekend approaches.

Lesy Matsie says the only way he knows when the weekend is approaching is when his Mom tells him

Adea Molope said “I can tell by the colour of my school T- shirts that the weekend is coming. “Every day we wear a different colour, so I know when it’s Friday,” said Adea.

Faith Maja said “My Mom sometimes teases me on a Friday afternoon saying I’m going to school the next day, but then when I wake up the next day, she tells me she was joking,” she said.

Chantelle Waterson says she just loves school too much and does not mind whether it’s a weekend or during the week, so she does not keep track of the days.
