Author urges you to take ownership of your destiny

The book focuses on motivating the youth, and drives them to be bold and take control of their destinies.

POLOKWANE – A young man from a village just outside of Polokwane, Moletjie Mabokele, is living proof that you are never too young to follow your dreams and make a living from your passion. At the tender age of 21, Thapedi Kgole is already a seasoned author.

The young man hails from the village of Moletjie Mabokele, just a stone throw from Polokwane.

He now resides in Westenburg and is in his final year studying towards a BCom degree in marketing at the Richfield Institution of Technology.

“I realised my love for writing in 2012. I had encountered unbearable rejection in my life and then healing afterwards, and I wanted a way of getting my experiences, as well as wisdom, out there.”

His first book, titled Psychological Emancipation, was released in 2015 and was mainly targeted at assisting people with realising their full potential.

“It was meant to help people see the potential inside of them and then to focus on that and move forward to prosper in their lives.”

Taking Ownership Of Your Own Ship was released the following year and was a continuation of his first book.

He said the book focuses on motivating the youth, and drives them to be bold and take control of their destinies.

“I’m very passionate about the youth, and addressing as well as navigating, our challenges. That is why I am a motivational speaker, master of ceremonies, independent corporate marketing strategist and emerging radio personality.”

Kgole said he plans to release more books in the near future and his third book, The Diary of a Despised Generation, is set to be released on 24 May.

His advice to the youth is simple and straight to the point. “There is no greater time to live than this, a time when utmost freedom is given.

“Be yourself, get up, fight against all odds, go out there and be great.

“It may be easier said than done, hence your responsibility to make it easier done, than said. Aluta Continua.”
