Municipality working on delay in waste removal

The municipality will be working in the evening to remove refuse.

POLOKWANE – Residents are alerted that the Polokwane Municipality is currently experiencing a backlog regarding waste removal within the city and surrounding areas due to breakdown of compactor trucks.

Stakeholder Relations Officer, Disree Manyane says as a backup plan, the municipality will work around the clock to deal with the backlog and ensure that waste is collected.

“Residents are therefore urged not to take back their waste bags into their yards as the municipality will be working in the evening as well in all the affected areas,” she says.

All waste issues can be reported to the waste management section of the municipality on 015 290 2882/2381/2468.
