Reminder of road closures in CBD Polokwane

The construction is estimated to last until 12 April 2017.

POLOKWANE – The municipality began the construction of the Integrated Rapid Transport Response System (IRPTS) within the Central Business District (CBD) on 18 January and construction is estimated to last until 12 April.

IRPTS Head of Marketing, Communications, and Stakeholder Relations, Mantlako Sebaka, said: “We advise the public and businesses to use alternative routes during the construction period while the contractor is on site and adhere to the traffic instructions”.

The following roads to be closed during construction:

• Rissik Street between Bok and Market Streets.

• Devenish Street between Market and Bok Streets.

• Bok Street between Devenish and Rissik Streets.

“The municipality urges everyone to please be patient while the construction is underway within the CBD as this is part of the municipal upgrading of infrastructure in the city. We apologise for any inconveniences caused,” Sebaka added.
