Man shot and killed in Musina

The incident occurred in Musina Extension 12 and the victim's pistol, cellphone and a friend's cellphone were taken from the scene.

LIMPOPO – The police in Musina have launched a manhunt after Jimmy Chuene (a 43-year-old owner of a security company) was gunned down last night by two unknown suspects.

According to information, the deceased was with a woman when the suspects, who spoke Shona, approached and shot him dead. The woman, however, was not injured.

The incident occurred in Musina Extension 12 and the victim’s pistol, cellphone and a friend’s cellphone were taken from the scene.

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo says Chuene was standing in front of his vehicle at the time of the attack. “His girlfriend ran to the car after the incident but was not hurt,” says Mojapelo.

Mojapelo has urged anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
