No dead-end roads on his journey to success

Lehlogonolo is living testimony that greatness can come from a great mess.

POLOKWANE – Lehlohonolo Thoabala is a man on a mission to educate and inspire the youth in his community.

The 22-year-old from Seshego Zone 4 is a social entrepreneur and a motivational speaker in his own right.

What sets him apart is that after failing matric, he did not see that as the end of the road but as the beginning of a new chapter.

He started The Motivational Drive in 2015 so he could come to the aid of those who need it the most.

“The Motivational Drive focuses on the well-being of the communities and the province as a whole in terms of financial education. We bring financial literacy to the youth and channel them towards becoming more business-oriented,” he explained.

He said they work with a team of accountants and financial advisors who give them tips not only on how to help people, but to help them run their own business.

In the past they hosted female entrepreneurship summits, and purpose and leadership seminars, in an effort to assist aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.

Lehlogonolo said failing matric was perhaps one of the hardest things he went through but it steered him towards a path he was destined for.

“I thank God that I failed because that showed me what my true calling was. Failure is not the end but the first attempt at learning. I wish everyone could understand that failing matric is not the end,” he said. He is a God-fearing young man and he explained that is where the secret to his success lies. He said growing up in a Christian family taught him to put God above all else and let Him direct all his steps. He added he looks forward to being an international sensation and in future plans to branch out and become a well-known speaker around the world.

He wants to make sure his message is heard and that he reaches a wider target audience.

“My passion lies in adding value to the lives of others. Every time I add value to someone’s life, I feel good about what I have done. I don’t want to stop here, I will go on and do a lot more and positively impact those around me. That is my plan and I know I will make it happen with God on my side,” Lehlogonolo concluded.
