POLOKWANE – Stanford Lake College (SLC) matrics will be smiling all the way to their respective higher learning institutions after the school achieved a 100% passrate for 2016 from the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) of which 91% was a bachelor’s degree pass.
Jason Wright is SLC’s highest-ranking learner with 89,1% aggregate and six distinctions.
He was also awarded the Dux Scholar for this great achievement. The Dux Scholar is a modern title given to the highest-ranking student in academic or sporting achievement in each graduating year.
Jason was followed by Sarah Pogrund with seven distinctions while Benno Prinsloo and Rebecca Desmet claimed six distinctions each. Kia Straughan scooped five distinctions while Durrah Cachalia, Zoe Selfe and Rayhaan Tayob received four distinctions each.
Ryan Davidson, Matthew Sutton and Carol Zhang were hot on their heels with three distinctions each.
SLC Marketer, Rona McGaffin, congratulated all the matriculants and learners on their various achievements, adding that SLC was immensely proud of them. On behalf of SLC she wished them the best of luck for the year ahead in their future endeavours.
