Residents share their wishes for 2017

For most people, starting off a new year is like starting off on a new page.

POLOKWANE – For most people, starting off a new year is like starting off on a new page.

For many people, new beginnings set the precedent for the rest of the year. Review took to the streets to find out from residents what their one wish for the upcoming year is. Several wishes included success, good health and to excel in future endeavours.

Lebo Sema's wish for 2017 is to become wealthy so that he is able to enjoy life without having to worry about price tags. He will be studying Industrial Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Some wishes, unlike others, are short and sweet. For car guard Annette du Plessis, her wish is simple. "All I want to be is happy and healthy this year," she said.

Like many other matrics, Madimetja Mashaba is hoping to achieve great matric results. She is also hoping to obtain a bursary so she can study Commercial Law at Varsity College.
