POLOKWANE: The police are are looking for a female suspect who left a baby of about 2 days-old with another woman at the park next to Jack Botes Hall on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, a 30-year-old unsuspecting woman who was at the park waiting for her friend, alleges the female suspect left the baby with her saying she was going to fetch the baby ‘s father from the nearby truck and that they were going to buy baby’s clothes and food.
“The woman waited but after the suspect never returned for the child she decided to go to the police,” said Ngoepe.
He added that the baby, who appeared healthy, was taken to hospital.
