Police hand over house to orphaned children

The South African Police Service Women’s Network handed over are furbished three orphaned children of the Moyaba family at Bodupe Village outside Tzaneen as part of their 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children on over a Saturday.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said Deputy Provincial Commissioner of Policing Nonhlanhla Zulu, Speaker of Mopani District Municipality Wireless Sedibeng, acting Mayor of Greater Letaba Local Municipality Mothipa Manyama and Chief Director Ngoako Mangena representing the MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Nandi Ndalane joined the network members during the handover of the refurbished four roomed house.
“The children were identified by Bolobedu Police Communications Officer Millicent Mohale while attending a funeral in November 2015. Mohale was touched by the dilapidated state of the house in which the orphaned stayed and reported the matter to the Bolobedu Station Commander and Cluster Management. The children’s parents passed away some year back. Mohale subsequently started facilitating the reconstruction of the house in collaboration with the Greater Letaba Local Municipality and the local business community,” Ngoepe said.
He also said the new house was handed to the children and the eldest and only breadwinner Reneilwe Moyaba with her two siblings welcomed the new home and other donations to help them through the Festive Season as well as the New Year.
