LIMPOPO – According to Joshua Kwapa, Manager Communication and Media Liaison Limpopo Department of Roads and Transport: “The driver of the truck allegedly made a U-turn when it crashed head-on with the SUV.
A female passenger in her late 30’s died on the scene and the drivers of both vehicles where rushed to hospital”.
One of the emergency personnel on the scene told Bosveld the driver of the truck was taken to the Mokopane Hospital and the driver of the SUV was rushed to a private hospital in Polokwane after both sustained serious injuries.
According to Mokopane Police Spokesperson, Sgt Irene Masingi, the SUV was traveling from Gauteng en route to Seshego when the accident happened. “The deceased is believed to be from Seshego,” added Masingi.
