‘I just want my son back’ – mother

Kevin Mojela (22), was last seen on 24 October in the morning when he left for college.

POLOKWANE – After noticing that her son was using drugs, Koena Mojela of Madiba Park decided to stop giving him pocket money, little did she know that this would result in her son’s disappearance.

Kevin Mojela (22), was last seen on 24 October in the morning when he left for college. Kevin was doing his N3 in mechanical engineering at an institute in Polokwane. Mojela thinks her son’s disappearance may be due to the fact that she denied him pocket money as she wanted him to stop smoking, among other things.

“He left for college in the morning and never came back. I tried to call him but his cell phone was on voicemail. He has left me with a broken heart and I cannot cope. He should at least come back and tell me what I did wrong so that we can resolve the issue,” she said.

Mojela explained that she does not know any of his friends and also checked with the college but no one has a clue as to his whereabouts. She added that Kevin always told her not to ask about his private life because he felt he does not have to explain anything he does to anyone.

“I opened a case at the Seshego Police Station but up to now haven’t heard anything from the investigating officer.

“I just want my son back,” explained Mojela. Zurel College management confirmed that Kevin was missing but declined to comment any further as the matter was being handled by the family and police.

CV contacted the Seshego Police station for comment but could not get hold of any of the communication officers.
